Wan Ahmad Farid will not be cowed

Barisan Nasional’s Datuk Wan Ahmad Farid Wan Salleh will not be cowed by the Opposition candidate in the parliamentary by-election.

He said it was the party that the candidate re­­­­­presented that was more important to the voters.

“Barisan has it own bastion, why must we be concerned about the Opposition’s so-called strength?” he said when asked to comment about PAS candidate Mohd Abdul Wahid En­­dut.

Wan Ahmad Farid said what was important was the philosophy that Barisan was promoting – to see vast development and uplift the standard of living of the people.

“The electorate will judge on this and their assessment will be more on the basis of voting for the party,” he said after meeting Chinese voters at Kien Tee Restaurant yesterday.
